Summer @Kooperativet Fjället - Christina

27.08.2025

From April until now, my journey as a youth leader at Kooperativet Fjället has felt like an adventure filled with colors, experiences, and inspiring people. It all started in Stockholm, where I met other young leaders and, through training, received the tools and knowledge we needed to begin our own adventure.

Soon after, the summer season kicked off with a vibrant start at Pride, through Nordost Pride. It was an event I had been looking forward to, and it truly exceeded my expectations. We had the chance to talk about the LGBTQ+ community, exchange ideas, and meet families—children and parents together exploring and engaging with the space. It was beautiful to see young people learning and opening up to new experiences alongside their loved ones.

As the weeks went by, we gradually prepared for a summer full of activities, with moments that were not only exciting but also deeply moving. Many of our youth graduated this year, and of course, we celebrated and supported them in the way they deserved.

Summer was everywhere in the sunshine, in the smiles, and in the joy of spending time outdoors. And so, the list of activities grew: youth summer festival and party in collaboration with Atom Studios, canoe paddling, outdoor adventures, mini golf, a trip to Liseberg, summer camp, visits to other cities, Skara Sommarland, and so much more. It was a summer overflowing with experiences and memories that I will always carry with me.

The youth were at the heart of it all. Unique, vibrant, full of energy the best company I could have asked for.

But as all beautiful journeys eventually do, my program is now coming to an end. This is not a "goodbye," but rather a "see you again," with the hope that our paths will cross once more. It has been an honor and a joy to be part of Kooperativet Fjället and the important work it does.

With this final blog, I say farewell with gratitude and a smile. Until next time!
