Youth Exchange
What is Youth Exchange?
Youth Exchange means that two or more groups of young people from different countries meet for (usually) one week and carry out activities together based on a specific theme. The purpose is to get to know other young people and their cultures and learn something new together.
Participating in a youth exchange is an excellent way to develop new skills, learn about new cultures, make new friends, and learn more about topics such as the environment, politics, or sports. Participants receive travel support as well as food and accommodation during the youth exchange.
Each group prepares different presentations and games that they then carry out together during the week. Young people learn a lot during such a project, both about cultures and society, and especially English, which is the working language.
Participants also receive a personally designed Youthpass (a certificate that shows the learning outcomes and competencies achieved during the project, which can be used in a CV or job application).
