Homework Help

Every Tuesday we have homework help from 4-6 pm. At homework help we sit with boys and girls who have homework and studying to do. We create a quiet and pleasant environment for studying and help you out with your studies.

Before national exams we have expanded homework help to meet the demand from young people.

You can also come on other days and do your homework - then we will help you as best we can.

Big Meeting

Every Tuesday at 6-7 pm we have a general meeting where we present the coming week and discuss current topics and issues that the young people have. General meetings are the most democratic tool that Fjället has, all members are welcome to participate, make decisions and vote. They can also discuss the activities and plan new activities, as well as submit important proposals and vote on them. While we have the general meeting, we close other activities so that everyone can join in and participate.

Girl Dinner & Girl Group

Every Wednesday we have a girls' night between 4-9 pm where all people who identify as a girl are welcome. The girls have their own budget of 7000 SEK / semester to plan dinners and other activities. On girls' nights everything happens: from baking, crafts, cooking, ceramics, sewing workshops, cozy time, laughter, dancing, FIFA tournament to parties and karaoke nights. We also do excursions and other activities outside depending on what the girls are planning.

Guy Dinner & Guy Group

Guy dinner: #Guydinner is a concept that we have taken from Make Equal, which is an organization that works with practical equality work. We at Fjället work with guy dinners so that guys can develop their ability to express emotions and reflect together in a safe environment about what it is like to be a guy based on different themes. Our ambition is also to challenge destructive masculinity norms, stereotypical gender roles and macho ideals. Different discussion themes can be, for example, friendship, sexuality, violence, crime, love, the future, gender equality, school. More info is available at; killmiddag.se

Guy Group: Guy group is a concept that we have developed ourselves. In guy group, a limited number of guys participate in various collaboration exercises and workshops and actively work on creating a better version of themselves. During guy group, upcoming guy dinners are also planned where the guys plan the next dinner and come up with themes and questions. The guys have their own budget of 7000 SEK / semester to plan the dinners and other activities. To highlight the guys' learning, personal and social development, we use the ELD method: Experience learning description. The guys get to highlight different situations where they have shown competences and at the end of the semester the guys get a competence certificate that they can then use to apply for a job or internship. Open Hangout

During open hangouts, anything goes. Many people like to hang out in the living room and play card games, bake, discuss, plan and relax. While others like to be in the ping pong room and play ping pong, watch movies or play PS4 or Just dance. Some also like to be in Vippen to listen to music and chill in peace and quiet. The rest are in the studio and create music or outside and play basketball. Outside we also have a skate ramp and we have skateboards that we lend to those who want

We often have an activity during open hangouts that is optional to participate in. It can be ceramics, a sewing workshop, a ping pong tournament, a spa evening, crafts or something else.

Open hangouts usually vary, but are usually on Fridays, Saturdays or Tuesdays. We always write on our Instagram when we have open hangouts.

Open hangouts have their own budget of 20,000 SEK/semester and are planned together at our general meetings. There, young people make decisions about joint activities and purchases.

Mini Fjället

Mini-fjället is our middle school activity that has been new since summer 2022. Here, those in grades 4-6 can come on Mondays 4-8pm and Saturdays 12-4pm.

Every other Monday we have homework help (odd weeks) and every other Monday (even weeks) we have group meetings where we plan activities together.

At Mini-fjället you can do basically the same things as at the "regular" Fjället. You can bake, play board games, play ping-pong, PS4 or just dance.

Mini-fjället also has its own budget of 6000 SEK/semester that they are responsible for.

Music Studio

At Fjället we have a studio. In the studio you can create songs, sing, practice DJing, create beats and other things related to music.

In order to have access to the studio you need to get a studio license. You do this by telling us that you are interested in studio operations, later we will book an appointment with a studio-knowledgeable staff member who will give you a tour of the entire studio. When the tour is complete, you will receive your license and then you can produce music in the studio. In the studio we have a maximum of three young people and food and drink are not allowed in the studio. If you do not follow these rules, you risk losing your studio license.

If you want a studio license, let us know.

Movie Project

At Fjället you can also work with film production. During the fall of 2023-winter of 2024 we have a movie project that has received money from the City of Gothenburg's support association. Youths are making a movie in different episodes that deals with living as a young person in a suburban area. If you want to be part of the film, you can contact us. For a little teaser, click here

Board

Fjället is run as an association and our highest decision-making body is a board consisting of young people. During the month of March, a new board is elected to lead and govern Fjället for one year.

The board receives board training during their first month to learn more about their responsibilities. The board has its own budget of 5000 SEK / semester. Shacni Fuad is Fjället's chairman for the period 2023-2024

Holiday Activities

All holiday activities are planned by our young people. It is young people who hang out at Fjället who plan, budget, apply for money, book and draw lots to see who gets a place on the respective activities.

During the holidays we are always busy. Examples of excursions are ski trips, ice skating, paintball, Gökboet, swimming in the sea, Liseberg, Nordens ark, Skara sommarland, Jump Yard, Laserdome and much more. We have also had barbecues, organized dance competitions and football tournaments.

If you want to participate in different activities - keep an eye on our Instagram and sign up there or at Fjället. If there are many people registered, we may need to draw lots.

Holiday Work

Every summer we welcome high school students who work with us for three weeks. Our program is called "Unga områdesutvecklare" where young people work actively to develop the area. In addition to arranging activities for children and families in the area, the holiday workers started "Revolution Rannebergen" in 2021 with the aim of getting politicians and those in power to pay attention to Rannebergen and its lack of service, which has caused insecurity in the area. Among other things, the holiday workers wrote an article in GP that received a lot of attention.

Ung Extra

Ung Extra is an extra job for those of you who need to gain more experience and then move on to a job in the regular job market. You work approximately 16 hours per month, during a semester - usually on weekends, but other days are also possible. Before each semester you can apply for an Ung extra job via Ungdomsporten
