KEKS conference 2025 

 20 years of KEKS – and we were there! We from Cooperative Fjället had the chance to present our work at this year's KEKS conference. We talked about participation, influence & security and how young people themselves lead the business. Thank you for all the encouragement, love and inspiration! KEKS conference 2024 

Fjället will also be giving lectures at the KEKS conference held at Lindholmen Conference Center on May 22-24. This time, we will bring young people with us and talk about our youth exchange that we carried out in 2023 in Gislaved and Georgia. Young people themselves feel that they have learned a lot and developed as people and that they have been able to find new friends and expand their horizons. Read more on the KEKS website, (här.)

Conference on youth work in Brussels

From February 20–23, 2024, Cooperative Fjället participated in the European Conference on Local Youth Work and Democracy in Brussels, organized in connection with the Belgian EU Presidency.

We were invited to give a presentation about our work with boys in the suburbs through the methods #boys'dinner and boys'group. We also had the opportunity to learn from others and, not least, take part in many important conversations and panel discussions about youth work in Europe. ❤️💪🌵

KEKS conference 2023

During the KEKS Conference 2023, Kooperativet Fjället gave a lecture on gender equality and promoting youth participation in a youth center. The lecture focused on Fjället's activities and the various strategies used to create an equal and meaningful youth center, where young people have a say in how they spend their free time and what activities they choose to engage in.

A presentation of the boys' group and boys' dinners was also conducted, highlighting these methods as important both for the development of the youth center and for the personal growth of the young participants.

Kooperativet Fjället is a member of KEKS, which is a European network of municipal authorities and other organizations responsible for and running open youth services.
